**Enrolling Summer 2025 or Fall 2025?
Orientation Registration will open Dec. 1, 2024 for summer & fall 2025
Step 1: Reserve BBO Session Date & Submit Fee -  You are encouraged to register early as possible to begin your next steps of finalizing your pre-semester requirements.
  • First, log into your New Student Admissions Portal.
  • Your username is the email used to submit your student application. Click on your current application to view your status page.
  • Select your session date; complete and submit session registration to confirm your date and receive an email confirmation.
Cost to Attend:   Fee is non-refundable.
  • SPRING 2025 Student:                $30.00 (no guest fee)
  • Summer or Fall 2025 Student:  $60.00 for on-campus session
  • Summer or Fall 2025 Student:  $60.00 for on-line session (no guest fee)
  • Summer or Fall 2025 Guest:      $30.00 each for on-campus session.  We kindly suggest 2 guests per student to ensure the orientation program can accommodate attendees comfortably. 

VSU Blazer Beginnings Orientation works hard to keep our orientation fees as one of the lowest in the state of Georgia.  Session fees cover program meals, materials, necessary program staffing and technology expenses.

Step 2: Submit a Photo for Your VSU ICard - ID photos for your campus ID cannot be taken on-site while attending your scheduled orientation session.  You are strongly encouraged to upload and submit your photo before your orientation date.  Review the Photo Submission Guidelines & Photo Upload   Questions about your submission can be sent to: 1card@valdosta.edu    

IMPORTANT:  ID cards can only be printed and released to a student when a semester schedule is viewable in the student account.

Step 3: Review & Accept Your Financial Aid Rewards - Once your FAFSA (and any other required verification materials) is submitted, our Financial Aid Office will begin processing your aid request.  Financial aid eligibility will be viewable in your Student Portal; you must review all financial aid offers and complete the acceptance form.  For step-by-step instructions on how understand and accept your awards, visit Financial Aid

After Orientation:

  1. How and Where to Pay Fees 

    Student account balances must be paid in full or covered by sufficient authorized financial aid no later than the fee payment deadline to avoid class cancellation. Fee submission deadlines are listed on the VSU Bursary page.  Invoices are not mailed.  Your fee balance can be viewed on your personal VSU Online Student Account Center.

  2. How To Purchase Textbooks

    When you receive your class schedule, you will be able to acquire your textbooks. We encourage you to learn about the various textbook purchase options.  For detailed information about textbook purchase options, visit the Course Materials & Textbooks section of the VSU Bookstore webpage.

  3. Access your VSU Email.  If you need assistance locating your VSU email address, email admissions@valdosta.edu. VSU email is the official campus communication. Continue to monitor your VSU email account often for semester updates.
