A student's physical and mental health can impact all areas of their lives, including academic success, social situations, and personal growth. Valdosta State University provides a wide array of recreation, wellness and health programs and services.
The Department of Campus Recreation provides members of the campus community the opportunity to experience lifelong activities while enhancing their well-being by promoting fitness and wellness, by offering a positive outlet for stress, by providing safe and clean quality facilities, equipment, and programs. The Student Health Center provides routine and acute health care for all students who have satisfied the health fee requirement. The Counseling Center and Health Promotions offer mental and physical health services, including counseling, intervention strategies, and medication for students in need.
