• American Printing House for the Blind
• Baen Books, a publisher of science fiction, will provide its books to fans who are blind, paralyzed, or dyslexic, or are amputees, in electronic form free of charge, effective immediately. Jim Baen, founder of Baen Books, who passed on June 28, 2006, decided to "provide each challenged reader with a permanent pass" to the regular e-publication of Baen's new books. This service will be available at no cost to the disabled, who must apply for this privilege. Applications will be processed by ReadAssist, a volunteer group devoted to helping disabled readers find the books they want in the form they need, and join the community of fandom.

• Universal Design Article entitled "Enhancing Learning of Students with LD Without Compromising Standards: Tips for Teaching", Beverly Sandock, Associate Director SALT (Strategic Alternative Learning Techniques), The University of Arizona. This article describes how to organize courses and present information so that it is more accessible to students with learning disabilities.
• Do-It. University of Washington. This site reveals how universal design strategies can be employed when engaging in specific academic activities: large lectures, group/work discussions, test taking, field work, science labs, computer labs, computers , world wide web pages, distance learning, art work, travel programs, writing assignments, and work-based learning.
• Universal Design Education On-Line. Teaching techniques that accommodate students with disabilities and/or unique styles are proposed.
• CAST: Universal Design for Learning. This site provides helpful guided tours about universal design, along with theory and research, tools and resources, examples, and activities.

High School to Postsecondary Transition

• Transition of Students with Disabilities to Postsecondary Education: A Guide for High School Educators (March 2007). This document provides high school educators with answers to questions students with disabilities may have as they prepare to move to the postsecondary education environment.
• Students with Disabilities Preparing for Postsecondary Education: Know Your Rights and Responsibilities This pamphlet contains information for high school students with disabilities who plan to continue their education in postsecondary schools.
