Babies Can't Wait

Babies Can’t Wait (BCW) is Georgia’s early intervention program that offers a variety of coordinated services for infants and toddlers with special needs, from birth to three years of age, and their families. Part C early intervention builds on and provides support and resources to assist family members and caregivers to enhance children's learning and development through everyday learning opportunities

Scottish-Rite Literacy Program

The generosity of the Scottish-Rite Foundation provides Valdosta State University students with the opportunity to serve the Valdosta-Lowndes community by providing literacy screenings, dyslexia evaluations, dyslexia treatment, and community engagement opportunities.

SPEAK OUT!

Parkinson Voice Project has developed a program that combines education and individual speech therapy sessions that focus on learning to speak with intent while completing speech, voice, and cognitive exercises designed specifically for individuals with Parkinson disease

New Teacher Institute

The New Teacher Institute (NTI) program is a professional development program. It is the cornerstone of VSU’s initial certification program for Career and Technical Specialization and Healthcare Science Education teachers.

VSU BranchED Collaborative Grant

Valdosta State University has earned a $300,000 grant from Branch Alliance for Educator Diversity to transform the standards of teacher preparation with a focus on developing highly effective, compassionate, and adaptive teachers. With the support of Branch Alliance for Educator Diversity, VSU will expand its ongoing partnership with Valdosta City Schools to help address the critical issue of educational equity for all students — from the early prekindergarten years through high school graduation.

Educational Talent Search (ETS)

The ETS program aims to assist individuals from low-income homes and first-generation college students to progress through middle school on to college. ETS supports students by providing individual and group counseling sessions, cultural enrichment, self-awareness assessments, academic skills, career and college exploration, postsecondary school tours, curricular choices, financial aid assistance, and re-entry services for dropouts.
