The Office of Legal Affairs' mission is, first and foremost, to provide accurate and timely legal advice and information to the University President, administrators, faculty and staff.

The Office of Legal Affairs supports the academic mission of Valdosta State University by providing services to advance and protect the legal rights and responsibilities of the University through the development of solutions designed to minimize legal liabilities.

Further, the Office of Legal Affairs supports the University's commitment to maintain a community of equity that is free from unlawful discrimination of any kind. In furtherance of this commitment, the Office of Legal Affairs, engages in efforts, to ensure that the University complies with both the letter and spirit of state and federal laws.
