About Us
About the English Language Institute
The English Language Institute at Valdosta State University was established in 2001. Our primary goal is to provide high quality English instruction to students seeking to improve their English language skills and enter a degree program at VSU. We treat each student as an individual who has different goals, different learning approaches, and a different pace of learning. We aim to help students meet their individual goals. At the ELI, we believe that what you learn in the classroom should be reinforced outside the classroom, so we organize activities to give students learning opportunities after school. Our conversation partner program, trips to local areas of interests, volunteer opportunities, trips to Orlando, Atlanta, Savannah, and other places are designed with exposure to the community in mind.
