Summer Goff Honored with Outstanding Harley Langdale Jr. College of Business Administration Senior Award

VALDOSTA – Summer Goff is Valdosta State University’s 2016 Outstanding Harley Langdale Jr. College of Business Administration Senior Award recipient.

“I feel so honored and blessed to receive this award from the Langdale College of Business, and I am forever grateful for the significant impact that its faculty has made on my future,” said the daughter of Freddie and Jana Goff of Hahira.

The Outstanding Senior Award is presented to the student who has demonstrated a high level of academic competence and service to the Harley Langdale Jr. College of Business Administration, as well as Valdosta State University and the community.

As a student at VSU, Goff was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma and the Alpha Lambda Delta Freshman Honor Society; served as associate chief justice for the Student Government Association Judicial Council and secretary for the Economics Analysis Association; and assisted Dr. Atilla Cseh, head of the Department of Economics and Finance, with teaching a dual enrollment economics course to a group of seniors at Valwood School.

She is also the recipient of the VSU Honors Scholarship, the Steele Business Scholarship, and the Sallie Hutchinson Scholarship.

Goff is scheduled to receive a Bachelor of Business Administration in both economics and finance and an Honors College Certificate at VSU’s 221^st commencement ceremony at 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 7.

She plans to pursue a Juris Doctor degree with a focus on the area of tax law from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law, where she earned a Presidential Scholarship.
