Sanderson Farms Hosts 2016 Super Chicken Road Show
VALDOSTA – Valdosta State University students and faculty are invited to join the Office of Career Opportunities for the 2016 Sanderson Farms Super Chicken Road Show March 2-3. The deadline to sign up is Friday, Feb. 19.
This two-day event will begin with a reception and dinner at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, at The University of Georgia’s Tifton Campus Conference Center. A tour of the Moultrie production and processing facilities will be conducted on Thursday, March 3. The event will conclude with lunch.
“Attendees will be intrigued seeing the entire operation from beginning to end,” said Delois Hargett, employer relations coordinator for VSU Career Opportunities. “The tour demonstrates every step of production from the hatchery to processing and packaging.”
Current students interested in an internship or a full-time career opportunity with Sanderson Farms are encouraged to attend. Sanderson Farms representatives will be on hand to share their industry knowledge, and provide insight to individuals pursuing a career in the poultry industry.
The Super Chicken Road Show is free to all VSU students and faculty. Lodging will be provided in Tifton, and participants will be reimbursed for mileage.
Contact the Office of Career Opportunities at (229) 333-5942 for more information.
