VSU Receives Gift from AT&T to Help Students Earn a College Degree

VALDOSTA – Valdosta State University received a gift from AT&T in the amount of $3,500 to support scholarship opportunities and assist with student retention.
 
“AT&T is committed to advancing education, strengthening communities and improving lives,” said Courtney Brinson, regional director external affairs for AT&T Georgia. “Through its philanthropic initiatives, AT&T has a long history of supporting organizations, institutions, and projects that create learning opportunities, promote academic and economic achievement and address community needs.”
 
The gift will be used in conjunction with other annual fund gifts to support the university’s mission and provide financial assistance to outstanding and deserving VSU students.  
 
Contributions toward scholarships allow the university to attract highly qualified and motivated students who increase the overall academic profile of the VSU student body.
