VSU TV and Outfitters TV join to bring Blazer basketball tointernet audiences - See February 17 VSU, West Alabama games
VALDOSTA, Ga . -- The Valdosta State Athletics Department, in conjunction with VSU TV and Outfitters TV, will provide Blazer fans a chance to catch as Blazer basketball on the internet as Saturday's games against West Alabama will be webcast live over the internet.The webcast, the first of its kind for Blazer basketball, will begin at 1:50 p.m. with pregame analysis of the Lady Blazers' contest against West Alabama and will continue through the men's game, which is slated for a 4:00 p.m. start. Dustin Swedelson and Adam MacDonald will provide play-by-play and color commentary for the broadcast.

Saturday will feature the second time this year a VSU athletic event has been webcast. The NCAA and CSTV, with assistance from VSU TV, broadcasted the Blazer football game against Fort Valley State on September 9 of this past season.
"This is a great and exciting opportunity for our basketball teams," said Valdosta State Athletic Director Herb Reinhard in making the announcement. "Not only will we be able to showcase the skills of our athletes, but also the skills of VSU students that are a part of VSU TV on campus. Outfitters TV has provided us with top of the line technology for the broadcast and has worked hand-in-hand with us in making the production top-notch so we are very excited."
The Lady Blazers open the day's events with a game against the Lady Tigers at 2:00 p.m. while the men play West Alabama at 4:00 p.m. Saturday will also feature Reader Appreciation Day at the P.E. Complex, with the Athletic Department recognizing area elementary school children who reached reading goals over the last year.
