Science Seminar looks at the development of adolescents

Valdosta State University’s Fall science seminar series will conclude on November 30 at 4 p.m. in the Powell Hall auditorium when Dr. Sarah Bacon of the College of Criminology & Criminal Justice at Florida State University presents her lecture entitled, “Adolescents and Development: Is Some Delinquency Healthy?”

Bacon will present research that she has gathered on the behavior of adolescents. Her lecture will focus on the behavior of young adults and the possible reasons for their actions. These include the structural and personal characteristics of individuals who engage in acts of delinquency and drug use and those who abstain from these acts all together.

The lecture is free and open to the public. For more information contact Dr. Blaine Browne at 229-249-4914 or Dr. David Bechler at 229-333-5759 or visit www.valdosta.edu/scisem .
