VSU Cadet receives National Award

Valdosta State University's Air Force ROTC continues to impress on a national level once again by having one of its own selected for an award. This year it is Cadet Jason Read a senior Technical Studies major from Valdosta.

Cadet Read, who comes from a military family, received the Armed Forces Insurance Scholarship Award that is given to students who demonstrate academic and leadership excellence. Read was one of only four other cadets from other universities around the nation who received this award.

Read will be graduating in May 2007 and will be joining the Air Force as a Communication Officer.
