Constitution Day celebrations cover two days

Valdosta State University will celebrate Constitution Day with two events scheduled for Friday, September 15 and Monday, September 18.

On Friday students at VSU will debate one another on constitutional issues in West Hall room 150 at 2 p.m. There will also be an exhibit on the first floor of Odum Library which will be displayed throughout the month of September.
Members of VSU's faculty and public officials will speak at a public forum on various topics of the Constitution at the Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts on Monday, September 18 at 7 p.m.

President Ronald Zaccari will open the event and introduce the guests, professors Mary Block of the History Department, Napoleon Bamfo, Brian Elzweig and Joseph Staats of the Political Science Department, Eneida Pugh of Modern and Classical Languages, and David Rodgers of the Art Department. Public officials include U.S. Representatives Sanford Bishop and Jack Kingston, State Representative Ron Borders, and Valdosta Mayor John Fretti.

The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts is located at 527 N Patterson Street.
