State Senator Tim Golden Receives Award

State Senator Tim Golden (right), a 1977 graduate of Valdosta State University, received the Loyce W. Turner Outstanding Public Official Award for 2004 during a luncheon on Tuesday, April 20 at VSU. Golden is the sixth recipient of the award, which is presented annually by VSU's Master of Public Administration Advisory Committee. The award, named after Loyce W. Turner, former Georgia state senator, is given to individuals who serve as role models for those just beginning or contemplating careers in public service.
