VSU's Harley Langdale, Jr. Lecture Series concludes for springsemester February 24th with Hiluard Kitchen as guest speaker

Valdosta State University's Harley Langdale, Jr. College of Business Administration announces a public invitation to attend The Harley Langdale, Jr. Lecture Series featuring Mr. Hiluard Kitchens, president of the Hiluard Kitchens Homes, Inc, a residential construction company of high-end homes in Atlanta area. The event will take place on Tuesday, February 24th, 2004 at 10 a.m. at the Pound Hall Auditorium located on the Valdosta State University's Rea and Lillian Steele North Campus. In his lecture, titled ?Different Jobs. Different Careers. It's Only a Matter of Time!" Mr. Kitchens will talk about finding the right career path and his personal experience of making a career change.

A 1978 graduate of Valdosta State College, Hiluard Kitchens has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He spent fourteen years in a corporate environment with the pulp and paper industry. In 1992, Mr. Kitchens decided to change his career and started Hiluard Kitchens Homes, Inc., a residential construction company. Currently, Hiluard Kitchens Homes, Inc. is involved in construction of luxury homes in Sugarloaf Country Club, Duluth and The River Club, Suwanee, GA. As company president, Kitchens is fully involved with management of the construction process, from site selection to final closing. A Certified Professional Home Builder and Earth Craft Home Builder, he is also a member of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, Better Business Bureau, and Gwinnett Council for Quality Growth. Kitchens is the recipient of multiple awards for his company's performance in the 1995 Street of Dreams.

The Harley Langdale, Jr. Lecture Series provides Valdosta State University business students and the public an opportunity to hear lectures on a wide range of business- related topics presented by experts in their related fields. This series of lectures is another step in the Harley Langdale, Jr. College of Business Administration's commitment to provide its students with high quality education by broadening their horizons and introducing them to real life experiences.
