Conference gives support to caregivers

Valdosta State University will host the third annual CARE-Net Conference April 19-20 at the University Center. The event is titled "Caring and Sharing: Caring for Those Who Care for Others" and will feature lectures focusing on caregiving issues.

The annual conference is for formal and informal caregivers, people who care for those with chronic physical or mental illnesses, developmental disabilities, chronically ill children, the elderly or those with substance abuse problems.

The registration for professional caregivers is $60; informal caregivers, friends and family is $20. For more information and a complete schedule of events, contact VSU's Learning/Service Center at 293-6145.
