2. How do I add money to my FLEX account with a debit/credit card?

If you are a student:
  • Log in to the Online Card Office with student’s active directory
  • Add money any amount -- $15 is the minimum deposit (we do not accept American Express)
If you are a parent or relative:
  • Go to the Online Card Office website
  • Click on the “Make a Guest Deposit” button
  • Enter the students First and Last Name and VSU email address
  • Add money any amount -- $15 is the minimum deposit (we do not accept American Express)

3. Is there any other way to add money to my FLEX account?

  • Yes.  Students can make cash or check deposits (no minimum) to the account in the 1Card Services Office.
  • Cash (no minimum) can be loaded into FLEX acocunts at VTS machines at Langdale, Hopper Hall, the Student Union, and Odum Library.

4. How much does a new 1Card cost?

  • First VSU 1Card free
  • All replacements are $20

5. What forms of payment do we accept in the office?

  • Cash, check, or FLEX (no debit/credit)

6. What do I need to have with me to purchase a new 1Card?

  • Two (2) forms of identification (one must be a government-issued photo ID)

7. How can I check my balance and see my transactions on my 1Card?

  • Log in to the Online Card Office on the 1Card website
  • Balance is at bottom of receipt after each transaction is made

8. How can I get the remaining balance refunded back to me?

  • Students must have at least $25 in the FLEX account in order to receive a refund
  • Complete and submit the Flex Refund Request Form on the 1Card website
  • The FLEX refund process begins no earlier than eleven (11) business days after the first day of classes each semester
  • Refund is processed by the VSU Bursary in whatever form student has set up with them to receive refunds (check or direct deposit)

9. Do my FLEX funds remain in my account all year?

  • FLEX funds remain in the account from summer-to-fall and fall-to-spring semesters; funds do not roll over from spring-to-summer semester.
  • Before the end of spring semester, students must complete the Rollover Form on the 1Card website.
  • If the FLEX account balance is over $25, it will automatically be refunded to the Banner account at the end of spring semester.

10. Who can use my VSU 1Card?

  • An individual’s VSU 1Card and all associated privileges may be confiscated and/or suspended as a result of allowing any other person(s) to access said individual’s card for any reason.  The VSU 1Card should never be used by anyone other than the person to whom the card and associated privileges have been assigned.
