Clinical Practice Information

The clinical practice experience is the culminating field experience in your education program and will involve full-time experience in a school classroom. This typically occurs in your final semester of your program, and involves coordinating with the Professional Education Services staff to secure an approved placement/classroom. Field Experience and Practicum Information

Field experience is the time that all teacher candidates gement with which teacher candidates apply, reflect upon, and expand their knowledge and skills. Candidates who enroll in field experience are provided directions on the process to submit the contract agreement and Melissa Nospend in the field PRIOR to clinical practice.  For all departments within the COEHS, the hours and requirements vary. However, all programs are designed to be sequenced to increase the complexity and levels of engalley, Partnership Relations Coordinator (mmnolley@valdosta.edu, 229-333-7834), coordinates securing school placements for teacher candidates.
