Faculty & Staff Appreciation Week is March 25-29, 2024!


From free food and drinks to prizes and free admission to Wild Adventures, there is a lot happening this year. Keep reading for all the fun details!


Anytime During the Week

  • One free meal at Palms Dining for each employee (with employee ID card)

Thursday is Cookie Day! All employees will have a fresh cookie delivered to their office or department.


Prize Drawings

Prize drawings will be held each day Monday - Thursday with all VSU faculty and staff eligible to win. To enter, be on the lookout for an email from The President’s Office each morning Monday – Thursday this week. Employees can only win once. The winners will be announced at the end of each day. 


Climbing Contest

Employees can take part in the Climbing Contest by visiting the Student Recreation Center and scaling the climbing wall. All times will be recorded, and the person who climbs it the fastest will be awarded a prize on Friday. The climbing wall is open during the following times only:

  • Monday 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Tuesday Noon – 6 p.m.
  • Wednesday 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Thursday Noon – 6 p.m.
  • Friday 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.


VSU Day at Wild Adventures

Get ready for fun with your family on April 13 during VSU Day at Wild Adventures! VSU faculty, staff, and students get in free with their valid VSU ID card, and family members get in at a reduced rate. See below for details. 

  • FREE admission for VSU students, faculty, and staff with valid VSU ID Card
  • Wild Adventures opens at 10 a.m.
  • Splash Island opens at 11 a.m.
  • FREE general concert admission to see Sugar Ray in concert for VSU students, faculty, and staff with valid VSU ID Card
  • Concert gates open at 7 p.m.
  • Show starts at 8 p.m.
  • $15 off ($59.99) single-day admission for family and friends for VSU students, faculty, and staff with valid VSU ID Card
