VSU professor awarded Fulbright Scholar in Peru
Dr. Inez Heath, a professor of early childhood education and
reading at Valdosta State University, was awarded a Fulbright
scholar grant, and is currently in Peru at the Universidad Femenina
(Women's University) working with pre and in-service teachers. She
will remain in Peru until December.
Dr. Heath's research will consist of a review of the technology
infrastructure as well as focusing on teacher attitudes in rural
and urban schools on technology.
The Fulbright Scholarship Program is designed to increase
international understanding between the people of the United States
and those of other nations. The Fulbright program was founded in
1946 by former senator J. William Fulbright of Arkansas. For more
