There are four requirements for admission into teacher education and only undergraduate students need to apply.

  1. At least 36 earned credit hours;
  2. A declared major in the field for which you are applying;
  3. Minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 2.75; and
  4. Passing score on Georgia Educator Ethics Assessment

Typically, students apply for admission to teacher education while enrolled in EDUC 2999. After admission, students are then able to submit electronic paperwork to the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) in order to obtain a Pre-Service Certificate. A Pre-Service Certificate is a state requirement in order to complete experiences in P-12 schools.
