What's New in 2018?

  • Beginning with the biweekly pay period (12/31/17-1/13/18) due January 11th, time approvers will approve Reported Time instead of Payable Time for employees. This change allows time approvers to approve reported hours immediately after submission rather than waiting for the Time Administrator process to run. Follow this link to review the training aids on how to approve time using this new process. 
  • Beginning with the January monthly payroll, exempt (salaried) benefited faculty and staff employees are no longer required to certify no time off was taken or submit a Timesheet in OneUSG Connect. Leave hours taken will continue to be submitted through the absence request process in OneUSG Connect. Managers will continue to approve leave for exempt, benefited faculty and staff through the absence request process, but are no longer required to approve the Timesheet. 
  • Manager Self Service (MSS) enhanced functionality is scheduled for March 2, 2018. While additional tiles (Review Transactions, Delegation) and actions (personnel, time management, etc.) are viewable under Manager Service Self (MSS), please continue to use current processes until Phase II implementation is complete. More details are forthcoming about these enhancements and business process changes. 
  • Employee Self Service now has preferred Email and Phone Types. All employees should have phone and email type "business" marked as preferred. The preferred contact details will show in the company directory in OneUSG Connect. 

What is OneUSG?

OneUSG is a system-wide initiative to develop and implement a consistent approach to policies, procedures and technology solutions that benefit the University System of Georgia (USG), in an effort to reduce costs, streamline processes, and have uniform guidelines with centralized support. The first priority for the OneUSG initiative is to bring all institutions onto one system to manage USG human resources activities, benefits and compensation.

What is OneUSG Connect?

OneUSG Connect is an application that is intended to help an organization manage and maintain its workforce. The major components OneUSG Connect – payroll services, talent management, human resources management, time and attendance, and benefits administration – are unified and integrated into a single system.
